Philatype Freeware Font License Agreement
This is an agreement between you, the downloader, and Philatype. By downloading the fonts provided, you are accepting the terms of, acknowledge understanding of, and promise to comply with the terms of this agreement. If you do not accept the terms, please delete the downloaded files.
COPYRIGHT
What you are downloading from Philatype is the license to use digital typeface software - hereafter ?fonts?; you are not downloading the copyright to the design of the fonts, but the rights to use the fonts. You may not sublicense, sell, lease, or give away the fonts. You can make archival copies of the fonts for your own purposes. You may not distribute the fonts to people outside of your organization. A copy of the fonts may be sent as part of a file release to a prepress bureau, if absolutely necessary.
USAGE
You may use the licensed fonts to create images, for personal, non-profit, or commercial purposes, on any surface such as computer screens, paper, web pages, t-shirts, and other surfaces where the image is a fixed size. You may use the licensed fonts to create EPS files or other scalable drawings provided that such files are only used by the household or company licensing the font.
EMBEDDING
The fonts can be embedded in PDFs or Flash files, but you will take all reasonable care to embed the fonts in such a way that they cannot be extracted from the files you create. Web embedding is permitted only if the following credit is given in the CSS file containing the @font-face declaration: /* The Tryst Typeface has been provided by Philatype (http://www.philatype.com) */. All other types of embedding (software, games, hardware, etc.) are not permitted, and would require a custom license. E-mail info@philatype.com for more information on custom licenses.
MODIFICATIONS
You may import characters from the font into a drawing program, create outlines, and modify such objects. You may not modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create derivative works based on the licensed font itself.
